Buoy Specialty

By taking the Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB) Course you will learn how to safely deploy a DSMB while under water.
You will have the confidence of deploying the DSMB from a hovering position or from the a stationary position on the bottom.
The DSMB Specialty course teaches you:-
To develop your practical knowledge of a DSMB
To dispel some of the myths regarding the use of a DSMB
To learn the various methods of deploying a DSMB
To increase your dive skills
To enable you to plan your dive and where to deploy a DSMB
How long will it take?
Approximately 12 hours split between home study/classroom work and open water dives.
2 Open Water dives.
You must be a PADI Open Water Diver or have an equivalent certification from another diving organisation.

DSMB Distinctive Specialty Manual
Reel and DSMB
