The PADI Rescue Diver course is fun and rewarding. It's also hard work, but don't let that put you off.
As a Rescue diver you learn to look beyond yourself and start to consider other divers around you. It's enjoyable and builds confidence. During the course you will learn many skills, starting with a reminder of the self rescue skills you learn on the Open Water course.
The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you:-
Self-rescue and about diver stress
Emergency Oxygen delivery systems
Dive first aid
Swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques
Emergency management and equipment
Panicked diver response
Missing diver procedures
Surfacing the unconscious diver
In-water rescue breathing protocols
Dive accident scenarios
How long will it take?
Approximately 25 hours split between home study/classroom, pool training and open water dives
Minimum 2 days training

PADI Rescue Diver DVD
Before starting the Rescue course you will need to have successfully completed the PADI Emergency First Responder course or similar First Aid certification.
